Parent representations
I am the student’s parent, legal guardian, or other person with lawful authority to create and manage the account.
The student is at least 13 and is currently 13-17 years old under Klarity’s U.S. product rules.
The age, state of residence, relationship, and account information I provide are accurate.
I will update Klarity if residence, legal authority, or the student’s age status changes.
Parent role and visibility
The parent controls subscription, billing, credit purchases, account administration, and account closure. The current legal draft assumes Parent visibility is limited to account identity, subscription and credits, courses, feature usage, high-level progress summaries, and account or safety alerts. Full tutoring transcripts, uploaded files, recordings, transcripts, essays, and detailed student work are not visible by default unless the product clearly discloses otherwise or disclosure is required for safety or law.
Student privacy and participation
The student must separately acknowledge Document 3 and Document 13. Parent management does not eliminate the student’s privacy interests. Klarity will provide age-appropriate notices and handle state-law rights according to applicable law.
Financial responsibility
The parent is responsible for charges the parent expressly approves. The free trial requires no credit card and never auto-converts. A paid subscription requires a separate checkout approval and payment method.
No educational guarantee
The parent understands that Klarity is supplementary study support and that Skillwarp Inc. does not guarantee any academic or other outcome.
When the student reaches age 18
The existing Parent-Managed Account does not convert into an Adult Student Account.
The student must create a separate new Adult Student Account, use a separate registration, accept the current Adult Student Terms and Privacy Policy, and separately choose any paid plan.
No payment method, subscription, credits, files, recordings, tutoring history, or Parent permissions automatically transfer.
The parent remains responsible for the original Parent-Managed Account and may close it under the applicable terms.
The now-adult student may exercise privacy rights over personal information about that student that remains in the original account, subject to applicable law and legitimate record-retention obligations.
